Spring in Moscow

It's really warm today in Moscow, spring is already here!

Spring is probably the best time to explore mysterious Moscow. No big crowds of tourists around, and the city is waking up from cold

It's Easternow! Time to say goodbye to winter and to welcome spring. Time for pancakes, and burning a straw man

What to do in Easter time? 
1. Learn Russian crafts in VVC: learn to play on clay whistles, knit wreaths of hay, make Russian dolls, amulets, and forge iron horseshoes and knit knots. 
2. Try more than 20 kinds of pancakes with various fillings, including the old traditional Russian recipes of 1871. And on March 2 at 16.00 watch ritual burning effigies in the square near the fountain "Friendship of Peoples ". 4 metres stuffed doll will be in the trendy green style.

A real big Pancake parade with musicians and performers in bright costumes gathers on Easter and goes to the main Pancake sun, which will be burnt in the end

Caviat Bar

Moscow's first caviar bar in the restaurant opened in Clumba Club. 
On the menu are two dozen species of caviar saltwater and freshwater fish. Almost half of the positions go for cost 150 rubles. (40 g serving) like the eggs of capelin, carp, perch, pollock and common carp. Upmarket like tobiko, salmon and pike come for 250-580 roubles. All this is served on ice with butter, crispy baguette toast and fried lime. Finally, if you want nothing less than black caviar, be ready to shell out 3300 r.

The longest pedestrian ares is being built in Moscow It will be 6.7 km walking area with touristy and local entertainment. Awesome idea for city discovering!

Symbols of Sochi Olympic Games 2014

We had a big contest here in Russia about who will be the main symbol, which ended up with choosing 3 heroes: polar bear, white hare and a winter leopard!



Hello from Sochi! Funny enough enough, but Sochi is a very popular summer resort city!




Of course, stamps!




Bear was the symbol of Summer Olympic Games in Moscow - 1980! We can't do without bears! ;)

The Opening Ceremony was shown all over the world on TV. 9,000 talaned actors took part in this great show telling the most important moments of Russian history. More than 100 000 achitectors, engineers, builders has built the Olympic sport city.

The Olympic Flame which has made a long way to Sochi all over the Russian cities and villages, Baikal lake, space was lighted by Vladislav Tretiak and Irina Rodnina.
