Best coffee shops in Moscow

Fact 54.

1. "Coffee Bean" is our absolutely favourite one. Over 50 varieties of high-quality delicious coffee and cocoa from Central and South America, Africa and Asia, flavored varieties, as well as a variety of espresso blends.

2. "Les" is a unique place living under its own rules. Freshest salads, delicious sandwiches, tortillas and burritos and in-house desserts, combined with master classes devoted to the preparation of coffee, sculpting, drawing, acting & DJ sets on the weekend make this place extremely popular among locals.

3. "Double B Coffee&Tea". For "coffee ceremony" here we  recommend "Ethiopia" - neutral, but lurking mature tones of summer fruits. The drink is served in a glass flask, - unusual amber hue, soft, fragrant,  all power goes to the flavor. Warning: do not drink at once, and let it cool not to miss anything.

4. Brew Bar makes coffee in the siphon - a meditative and spectacular process: brown drops falling through the filter paper super slowly. So if are excited to see how your "Nicaragua" with notes of milk chocolate and hazelnut is progressing, you are welcome to watch the whole process.

5. "Bulka". Strictly speaking, it is not a coffee shop - it's bakery shop where you can drink coffee. But! Coffee and pastry here are of such quality that they will beat any ten-course dinner.

Experience is everything

I strongly believe that it is experience that really matters in our life.

Being a tour guide, the founder of a toruistic business and an adventurer, I find travelling as the #1 experience we all seek for and truly need in our life.

Meeting new people, making new friends, discovering new places, trying new cuisine, sharing cultures, taking photos, smiling to strangers, watching locals, getting lost in a new city, finding your way back and being proud of yourself because of it, wandering along the streets and popping into random cafes, checking in in new hotels and on our facebook pages, savouring morning coffee in a local cafe, visiting the museum of local art, having your ethnic local dinner in one of the finest restaurants of the city and raving in a club among local crowd...
This is the best therapy, and the most pleasant. This is what I will always look for in my life, and what I will always share with my toruists - the UNIQUE experience, the authentic atmosphere, the vibe. Something that you will later describe to your friends and family like: "You have to see it/go there/hear it/try it/experience it yourself".
Experience is everything.

Food Embassy in Moscow

Fact 52.
Moscow is like... a race for supremacy. Every time it is a new design.. or exquisite interior.. or exotic delicacies.. This time ... The Food Embassy!

There are about 3000 cafes and restaurants in Moscow, and one of them is Food Embassy "Yornik". Come here for fine cuisine and cosy interior: fluffy foie gras under a thin white wine jelly (380roubles) rum baba with pineapple, black pepper and vanilla chantilly cream (390 r.)
The summer terrace is idyllic: a lot of greenery and shade, comfortable wicker furniture, flowers and bushes of rosemary. This is the right place for those who are looking for something local and gracious.

Sergiev Posad. Facts

Fact 50.
Ivan the Terrible was baptised here in Holy Trinity monastery in 1530-ies.
In 1608-1610, the Holy Trinity Monastery survived sixteen-month siege of the Polish-Lithuanian invaders.
During a riot of musketeers, Peter I was hiding himself behind the walls of the monastery, which was the royal fortress at that time.
In 1744 the Empress Elizabeth awarded the monastary with the honorary title of Lavra, which emphasized the leading role of the monastery among other cathedrals.
